Andrew McKeen is the founder of A.M Tree Survey Specialist Ltd., an independent tree survey business based in Fife, Scotland.

With many years of experience working alongside some of Scotland’s leading arboricultural consultants, Andrew brings a wealth of knowledge and a practical, hands-on approach to every project.

In October 2023, he launched A.M Tree Survey Specialist Ltd. with the aim of providing high-quality, reliable, and environmentally conscious tree survey services across Scotland.

Andrew has a lifelong passion for the natural world. He’s especially interested in ancient and veteran trees, as well as wood decay fungi, and brings this specialist knowledge into his work. His deep appreciation for trees, plants, fungi, and ecosystems gives him a unique perspective that blends science, ecology, and genuine care for the landscape.

Andrew holds a LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection qualification, the industry-recognised standard for advanced tree assessment. He has also completed the VETree training in the valuing and managing of veteran trees, delivered in conjunction with the Ancient Tree Forum—further strengthening his expertise in working with some of the most ecologically and culturally significant trees in the UK.
